How

Do you remember where you were when God sent a specific person with a specific word for your life? I do. I remember it well. I was at the funeral of a family friend. The funeral was over and the sanctuary was empty, but there I sat. Soon a man I deeply respected approached me. After a heartfelt conversation, he challenged me with three words that changed my perspective and my life: seek God’s voice. A retired Pastor himself, he said he believed God was calling me to launch a new church. It’s funny because until those words were spoken, I had already settled in my heart that God would never call me. I was walking in a dry and arid season, a wilderness. I did not feel worthy nor did I expect God to move as He did. Nevertheless, that night I prayed and asked God for a sign - something I could not ignore or reason away. God sent two! Isn’t that just like God?
Over the next few weeks I prayed earnestly and sought God’s face. During that time God showed me the vision for The Legacy Church.  The vision was clear. God commissioned me to connect with people who are seeking a connection with God, and to be connected to community. God has called us to love this community, lead this community, and connect this community to Him.
